Dave Alhstrom
Dave received his masters of accountancy and bachelor’s degrees from Weber State. He has worked for Davis and Bott since 1986. Dave specializes in individual and business income taxes, retirement plans, type of entity consulting, trusts, accounting and auditing. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially in the outdoors. Dave is currently not accepting new clients.

Matthew Jensen
Matt has a Masters of Business Administration from USU. He has been with us since 2007. He has served on the board of the Kiwanis club, The Family Support Center, and the local United Way. Matt is a lifelong resident of Brigham City and enjoys serving the people as a member of the City Council. He is a sports fanatic and enjoys reading.
Tyson Hemphill
Tyson received his Masters of Accountancy from Idaho State University and BS degree in accounting from BYU-Idaho. Tyson has been with Davis & Bott since 2019 and is part of our financial statement audit and tax teams. He also provides client advisory and accounting services for many of our business clients. Previously he worked in public accounting performing financial statement audits and tax returns for clients in the automotive, retail sales, and manufacturing industries. Outside of work, Tyson enjoys being involved with his church and community. He loves to play sports, watch a good movie with his wife, travel, and spend time with family.
Kyler Anderson
Kyler grew up in Honeyville, Utah. He earned a Bachelor of Accounting degree from Utah State University and a Master of Taxation degree from Weber State University as a Goddard Scholar. Kyler is a licensed CPA in the State of Utah and has been with Davis & Bott since 2019. Kyler lives in Perry with his family. He enjoys being outdoors, playing sports and games, cheering for the Browns, and spending time with his family.
Cody Pali
Cody is a licensed CPA in the State of Utah. He received his Master’s degree in Taxation from Weber State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Utah State University. Cody grew up on a farm in Honeyville. If he is not in the office, you may find him riding in a green tractor. Cody loves spending time with his wife and 3 girls. He enjoys camping, Ranger rides with his family, and playing basketball and golf.
Laura Liewen
Laura Liewen, CPA has more than 25 years of experience in public accounting specializing in income tax return preparation, compliance, and research for individuals and businesses. She is a licensed CPA in Utah and Arizona. Before joining Davis & Bott, she was a tax partner at a CPA firm in Tucson, Arizona. Laura graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Arizona, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, majoring in accounting. She is the treasurer of the Tucson Jazz Festival and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Tucson Tax Study Group, Inc. Laura enjoys spending her free time with her family, including her pets, and traveling the world.
McKenzie Bono
McKenzie grew up in Rigby, Idaho, and has built her career on a strong foundation in accounting and taxation. She earned her Bachelor of Accounting degree from Utah State University and a Master of Taxation degree from Weber State University. McKenzie is a licensed CPA and has been part of the Davis & Bott team since 2022.
She now lives in Tremonton, Utah, with her husband, Jayce. Outside of work, McKenzie loves spending time outdoors whether it’s hiking, camping, or going on 4-wheeler rides, she’s always happiest under the open sky with her family.
Susanah Brown
Susanah received her BS in accounting from Utah State University and will continue her education with a Master of Taxation at Weber State University. She lives in Park Valley and enjoys helping her husband Charley on the ranch in her free time. She enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including camping, hiking, and kayaking with her family. Other hobbies include sewing, reading, and cooking good food!
Benjamin Allen
Ben Grew up on a farm near Rexburg, Idaho. He has been licensed and practiced in Montana, Idaho, Georgia and Tennessee before relocating to Utah. He received his MBA from Idaho State University and his BS in Accounting from BYU-Idaho. Ben lives in Tremonton with his Wife and 5 children. He enjoys golfing and playing games with his family.

Makayla Miller
McKayla is from southern Arizona and is a senior studying accounting at Utah State. She hopes to get her master’s degree and become a CPA one day. When she's not at work or doing homework, she loves to play pickleball, tennis, and volleyball. She loves working with and helping people which is something that has drawn her to this field. She is excited to be a part of Davis & Bott and looks forward to all of the new things she will learn while she's here.
Meagan Branch
Meagan grew up in Mt Sterling, Utah on her family farm. She attended Snow College to earn her associate degree and then went to Utah State University and got a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Science with an emphasis in Family Finance, She worked in banking as a loan officer before choosing to be a stay at home Mom for the past 16 years to her two children. As a family they love to go boating, travel, farm and spend time together.
Cayden Beecher
Cayden was born in Lehi, Utah and after working in construction and sales, he discovered his passion for business. Fascinated by the "behind the scenes" of small businesses, he went to USU to get a bachelor’s degree in accounting at Utah State University in 2025. As he works towards becoming a CPA, he will begin the Master of Taxation program at Weber State University in the summer of 2025. Outside of work and school, Cayden enjoys spending time with his wife, Ellie. He also enjoys backpacking, mountain biking, and playing sports.​
Ty Coats
​Ty is from Smithfield, Utah. He was raised learning the value of hard work and attention to detail at his parents' cabinet shop and his grandparents' farm. After finishing his bachelor's degree in accounting at Utah State in December of 2025 he will continue pursuing plans of becoming a CPA by working through the Masters of Taxation program at Weber State. When he is not at work or school Ty enjoys spending time with his wife, mountain biking, rock climbing, and whatever the hobby of the summer is.
